Impossible Creatures: The Poisoned King

Katherine Rundell

Christopher Forrester has returned to the Archipelago on the command of Jacques the jaculus dragon. The great dragons have been poisoned - but no one knows why.

On the island of Dousha, Princess Anya Phoebe Cornelia Argen's grandfather has been poisoned. Her father, the king's successor, has been accused. However, she suspects it was her uncle Claude - and his next target is her. Can Christopher save Anya and the rest of the Archipelago from the poison?

The adventurous sequel to Impossible Creatures, perfect for fans of the first book.

Where I grew up...

I grew up in Zimbabwe and my parents allowed me to be outside in groups of kids or alone without parental supervision.

A trapeze artist...

I went and I did the trapeze. I love it and I am eager at the trapeze but not skilled.

Favourite character in Impossible Creatures: The Poisoned King...

My favourite character has got to be Princess Anya.
